 |
Johan Frauenfelder (flamenco)
From a young age Johan has been playing guitar. During his youth he developed a special fondness for blues and the popular music of the 1960's. After studying Latin music in his native Holland, Johan moved to Seville in Spain where he was taught further by flamenco legend Carlos Heredia.
Although Flamenco provides the dense basis for all his compositions, his influences such as blues and jazz come though in his music and contribute towards a very unique and surprising style of play. There is a fusion between flamenco and elements of other styles which can only work if the artist is able to master all of the styles being used.
